February 1999

2-24-99

Wow, it has been a day, and it ended on a really great note. I was so excited that I just had to sit down and write in my journal.

First of all my friend E--- came by today and I re-did her resume for a interview she had this afternoon, I volunteered to watch Spawn of Satan while she went. He actually behaved while she was gone and they called her back for a second interview in the morning. I hope she gets this job. It's not your dream job (managing a local Burger King) but it pays decent money and she would have benefits. I offered to keep Spawn of Satan again while she goes for her interview in the morning. Of course this prompt her to ask if I would be his permanent childcare giver when she works and I told her no. She waited a few moments to ask me why and I put it on Mr. Wonderful (who really did instruct me not to take on any more responsibilities) telling her that he was in grad school and that he had a stressful job and he didn't want anything to interfere with the three S's (Study, Sleep and Sex) She said she understood and I offered to help her find a childcare provider. I'm keeping my fingers cross she gets this job, she only has enough money to make it till the middle of March.

I didn't have pottery class this evening so I decided to run errands instead. This gave me a nice break from Wild Child. She has been really loveable lately and funny too. She has the greatest laugh and giggle I have ever heard. I think I am going to record it and let all or you hear it. Just hearing her laugh makes me laugh. She is the cutest thing and I can't wait to post a picture up from her Birthday Party for all of you to see. Watching her play and have a wonderful time reminds me of why I wanted to be a stay at home parent. I couldn't imagine missing all the firsts and sharing in all the fun that she has.

When I got home from errands, I went to soak in bubble bath. I was about to fall asleep in the tub when my Aunt in Savannah called. We own a piece of property together that is on the market to be sold and someone has made an offer on it. It's a low ball offer but they really like the place. This really excited me, because if that house sells then Mr. Wonderful and I can start looking into building. We have already looked at several up coming neighborhoods that we like that look child friendly and if that property would sell we could begin getting serious about house-building or buying. It's not that I am not happy with the home we have but its small and has a very choppy floor plan, with odd shaped rooms. The house is built well, has a very large yard, is completely remodeled on the inside. In fact the kitchen was totally gutted and replaced from top to bottom and it has great appliances.

But I really hope that property sells!!!!
